Even though Jody and I hummed the "Great Wolf Lodge" theme song all week, the kids didn't pick up on the fact that we were going there for our "surprise trip." They guessed places such as the new cowboy stadium, Disney World, and Japan. Before we arrived at the Great Wolf, we stopped at Fuddruckers to eat..right by Grapevine Mills Mall. I tried hard to make them believe that we had arrived at their surprise and we were going to spend the whole day shopping. Ha. Jackson had a very, very worried look on his face. Needless to say, they were thrilled when we pulled into the parking lot last Saturday. And to make the trip even more fun, Googie came too! That was also a surprise!
We spent 2 days watersliding, getting massive amounts of water dumped on us from the huge bucket, lazy rivering, wave pooling, playing in the arcade, and eating yummy snacks like "dippin' dots!" Our room had a "kid cabin" built in with bunk beds and a wood cabin look to it. Lilly Claire enjoyed lots of "Googie time".
