Performance Day! She did so Great!

Lilly Claire and Jackson at the Rainforest Cafe. We spent the 3 days touring Dallas while we waited on SG. They were troopers!

Our future DCC!

Savannah Grace, Lilly Claire and Jackson after Day 2 of camp. Savannah Grace was always starving to death after camp! That's why she's looking a little whiney.

The DCC performing for the crowd on performance day.

Savannah Grace in her line, getting ready to perform.

Savannah Grace earned a sticker on day 2 for smiling so great while she was dancing!

Day 1 of Camp DCC!

Getting ready to leave the house for the 1.5 hour drive to Valley Ranch on day 1 of camp!

This was her favorite camp outfit that mom made.

I will begin this post by admitting the truth....I am totally living vicariously thru my little daughter in this instance. Oh-well. At least she had fun.

Last week, Savannah Grace attended Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader Camp at Valley Ranch. It was led by the real DCC and yes, I was star struck.
I have been looking at this camp for the past couple of years...anticipating the big age of 5 when Savannah Grace would finally be old enough to attend. Yes, she's only 4. However, 2 months ago, I called..hee hee hee... and said, "I know she's only 4, but she's been taking dance for 2 years and..." The nice cheerleader sounding girl on the other end of the phone said, "Sure! We'd love to have her!" Yay! She was in!

I spent the evening before the first day of camp making customized outfits that said stuff such as "Future DCC". Each outfit had plenty of ironed on rhinestones and a bow to match. Hee Hee.

The 3-day camp ended up being fabulous for her. Her main teacher was the cheerleader named Brooke. They were all super sweet...well, they are America's Sweethearts, you know.
On Friday, they put on a performance for the parents. Almost all of the little girls wore the actual cheerleader uniform. Savannah Grace has had a uniform for 2 years! Savannah Grace did great in the performance. They learned 3 dances and one cheer. My favorite dance was to a song that said something like, "I'm...just a little bossy." The song fit her to a tee. She really got into that one.
She says that she definately wants to go back to camp next year, but she's not sure she wants to be out on the field as a real cheerleader when she grows up, because she'll miss me too much. I assurred her that I would figure out a way to upgrade our cowboy seats to ones closer to the field! As of right now, she says she'll think about it and let me know later on.
